About our Evansville insulation contractor crew
Why I started an insulation company in Evansville
I learned insulation on another outfit's crew, then spent a few years out of the trade. When I came back and started A&B Evansville Insulation Services in 2023, what stood out was how often the leaks got skipped. New insulation went on top of old, the gaps around the lights and the attic hatch stayed open, and the house stayed drafty. The attic looked fuller. The upstairs was still hot.
So we do air sealing first, closing the gaps where air slips through before any insulation goes in, and I tell you what's really up there, even when it isn't pretty. Most of our calls come from older homes in and around Evansville, plus some business owners with a building to tighten up. You'll find everything we do on our home page.
Licensed and insured
Evansville contractor license
Local contractors have to pass a written exam, have their experience verified and show proof of insurance and workers' compensation before they can be licensed. We're fully licensed and insured, and it's fair to ask any contractor who comes to your door to show you theirs.
Serving Evansville Since 2023
What you can expect from us
Leaks sealed before insulation goes in
We close the gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch first, because insulation can't stop air that's blowing right past it. It's more work to do it in this order, but it's the order that lets the new insulation do its job.
I look at your house myself
I come out, climb into the attic or crawl space, and write down what I'd do, in what order and why. Our own crew does the work and I'm on most jobs with them, so the person who looked at your house is the one answering for it.
We'll tell you to fix something first
If the roof leaks, the wiring needs work or the crawl space is wet, we say so and wait until it's handled, even when that makes our job smaller, because insulation over a problem just hides it. If you want us to take a look, reach us here and we'll reply within one business day.
